September 11, 2007

What's even more troublesome than an unwilling victim is an unwilling person you're trying to help, and the fatal mistake of "9/11 truthers" is that they're trying to change the minds of people who don't want their minds changed. Ordinary people will not become powerful because it's too much responsibility. Almost everyone in the gang that ruined America and turned southwest Asia into a radioactive wasteland will retire to a huge house with servants, and most people will tell themselves whatever they have to, to make it safely to death without learning anything. - Ran Prieur

What do you really know about 9.11.2001 ?

It has become sad to watch all the products of the internet blogger age who think they are "informed" because they saw it on the internet. Its also interesting how each site uses truth in its title. Left wingers will lap up just about anything these days.

Yep, its all been debunked.

Let me asked you, who "informed" you about the events of September 11th, 2001. Your television? The radio perhaps? A hand full of corporations control the voices coming out of those boxes. Perhaps you read the 911 commission's report which doesn't even mention that 3 towers, not just 2, fell down on 9.11.2001. I learned about that online. The Internet can be used to propagate myth, I'll give you that, but I'll take the open source conglomeration of information on the dang 'ole Internet over your force fed TV and radio any day. Talk about lapping up what you're offered...

As for your polar political jargon, go sell that divisive tactic somewhere else. I believe, as many more Americans are beginning to believe, that neither political party has answers- hell they don't even know the questions. Both parties sponsor merely corporate handmaidens. Most people just want peace and basic freedoms from want and from coercion. Are we getting that from our corporate government or are they giving us the opposite?

Of course the "you don't know the real truth" accusations could go back and forth on and on. Here's a debunking-the-debunkers page for you:

But try this, try reading one of those pages in the post, say the one with licensed architects and engineers who think the official story is impossible. Try reading it even if you think it's crazy. What is the worst that can happen? You read it and still decide to believe the official story? I'm not trying to force you to believe as I do. I'm just asking you to open your mind- to question just a little of the very concentrated sources of information coming out of the mainstream media regarding the events of that day. How is doing so a bad idea?

1. Where did I mention that my facts come from tv or radio? Nice assumptions and typical liberal response. Textbook.

2. I read everybit of every link. Its sad some people are so gullible.

3. If you truely valued opposing viewpoints, that diatribe of a comment wouldn't have been posted.

4. I love the Orwell quote. But unfortunately for you, you are the universal deceit, and I am the revolutionary act.

I asked you who "informed" you. You never answered.

To date you only first started reading this post a little less than 2 hours a ago. 1 hour and 18 minutes of that time you spent on my site, reading all sorts of stuff. While I'm flattered, that's an impossible amount of reading in such a short period of time. You could not have read all you claim. You're being disingenuous here.

I don't liked being mislabeled. I am no lefty just because you call me one.

We'll see.

It appears in this instances I should take to heart my initial quote from Ran Prieur.

"...the fatal mistake of "9/11 truthers" is that they're trying to change the minds of people who don't want their minds changed... most people will tell themselves whatever they have to, to make it safely to death without learning anything."

Don't expect a further response on this comment list if you don't offer anything I can learn from; or at least ponder. That's not avoiding debate, it's understanding that some people just don't have anything of substance to offer. If you want to hurl insults please send them to me in private. Peter can give you my email address.

The sites you linked existed long before you posted links to them here. Although I do understand that you think I'd only be aware of them with your help. I have followed your blog for sometime even though I disagree with the majority of it. It has been enlightening at times. I drew the line however when you chose 9/11 to post rediculous conspiracy theory and sully the memory of those affected by it. I offered a link debunking every point of every conspiracy by leading scientists, but you're not interested.

Had I opened with something less divisive, you might not have come back as snappy. However, you need to realise that you are not here for open discussion. You have an agenda and its painfully obvious in your words. Your initial quote applies to you my friend. You have no intention of opening your mind or having it changed. Just so we're clear on that.

With that I will leave you. But know that there is a silent majority out here who is greatly offended by the 9/11 conspiracy BS. And I personally view it as ignorant and subhuman.

I am not your friend and you are not in the majority.

Zogby Poll: 51% of Americans Want Congress to Probe Bush/Cheney Regarding 9/11 Attacks; Over 30% Seek Immediate Impeachment

67% also fault 9/11 Commission for not investigating anomalous collapse of World Trade Center 7

I can think of no better way to honor those who died on September 11th, 2001 than to point out the truth.

Happy trails.
